I'm paying 50% tax atm, which I showed.
I just had a good couple of days on the market , so I've shoved the money somewhere its return will be taxed at 3%.
Is that "dodgy"?
Ireland set the taxes low. They wanted big companies to base there so they'd have a good income from those taxes, and a lot of people would be employed. There are big drug and tech companies there now, um, Apple, Google, Msoft, Pfizer, and J&J. A subsidiary of Msoft used a loophole to pay zero taxes. Stupid maybe, but not illegal. You can't blame the companies.
Twas ever thus. Why go on about it?
