Afraid not. With intercoms its basically a case of following the wiring diagrams that come with the systems. Linking up as the drawings describe. Ive done loads and never had any formal training on them. Generally they are quite straight forward Specific manufacturers may offer training if you are part of an organisation. However if you are a one man band it's unlikely.

Thought as much, i've been unable to find anything. I have fitted a few and they're straight forward normally. It when i'm asked to go and fix a faulty one it gets confusing, trying to match up new parts to old systems. Still its tests my brains!!

Sparkies and intercoms - never the two should mix! Ha! Ha! Ha! If i can help, just ask! BPT do training courses for their equipment, as do some of the other big brand names. But, as the others have advised, start on something simple yourself.

Try and avoid anything fancy to learn on - stick with a 4 wire plus calltone type of system. There are two wire systems and even four wires but you will struggle to understand how they work when it comes to fault finding as a beginner.

Find a brand and learn with it. I find BSTL robust and simple. Others, such as Videx, use similar workings but the terminals are marked different.

Good luck!

Phil
