Im running a new shower in bath room and need to cut into the tiles and wall to run new pipes up, and then replaced the tiles ive removed. i need to remove a vertical line of about 6 tiles 250 x 250 tiles, whats the best way to remove these tiles without breaking any others?

Id say run an angle grinder straight thru the joints. (providing you know theres nothing under the tiles...pipes/cables.)

are you removing the full tiles?

if so smash one with a hammer, take that one out then use a bolster / chisel to remove the others that you need to.

Ive took it to mean hes wanting to re-use them....which may be a problem if they wont clean up well enough.
He'd still have to 'isolate' the run from the adjacent tiles...or he could end up with a lot more coming out than he bargained for.

i took it he didnt need to reuse them, and if he is just taking off a cpl to keep the rest he would be careful when taking them out anyway.

Thank you Mixter, I know your reply was for someone else but we had the selfsame problem today. I came on here to look for an answer and saw your reply here, told my husband and it worked a treat, stopped him possibly wrecking a wall of tiles.

So many thanks.
