    Advice on bathroom leak fix

Yes the plumber took the panel off and decreed that was the issue. There is zero tap movement. He showed me the water running along the pipes when he sprayed the water on to the tap base. I then did a temporary fix - as per the photos - and sprayed it again and could not see the water on the pipes.

    Advice on bathroom leak fix

Have just checked and it is very firmly in place and not loose. So on this basis it makes me think tightening the tap wont even work and it is just an oversight when the tap was fixed that it wasnt sealed correctly. Think silicone around the base is the next step and fingers crossed thats all...

    Toilet not flushing

This cistern fills. It now seems to be working... Last night it DID work again after a while... so it appeared that you needed to wait a bit if time before you could flush it again,, but this morning you can flush it straight after.

    Toilet not flushing

Thanks - so does that sound like it could be the issue? and when you say the water level can be adjusted do you mean by adding more water to the cistern (or is there another way to do this)?

    Toilet not flushing

Hi I have just moved into a new build house (it's 3 years old but we've just moved in). We've been in for a few weeks and we've had no problems, now the en-suite flush isnt working. The bowl looks to have less water than before; so maybe i just need to add more water!? See photo attached of...

Replace an integrated washing machine with washer/dryer

Hi I am moving house and the new property has an integrated kitchen. They have a washing machine and we have a free standing washer/dryer. Given moving effort (as we live in a flat) and timing, we will sell our unit and make do with the washer for now. However, longer term I'm keen to...

    Suspicious roof cracks around pipe

Posting here as this is "roof" related and also "plumbing" potentially... There is an ominous looking crack and slight bowing around a pipe in our kitchen. I've only just spotted it, but it could have been there ages... im wondering if there is a water deposit in the roof from the rain...

Hi This is an appliance/electrical query... We are moving to a new house and are going to have our recliner sofa in the middle of the room. So we will need to stretch the electrical supply across the room to a power point... i'm concerned the kids could trip on it.... is there a wireless...

    New Boiler recommendations

Thanks for responses so far. Maybe i'll ask my installer about vaillant/worcester. How about the prices... does that seem competitive?

    New Boiler recommendations

My 1996 Vaillant boiler is kaput - still, at least it's not cold... My plumber has recommended two choices and i wondered if anyone can vouch for either. I'm also interested to know if the cost quoted is competitive. The quotes are: Ideal Logic Plus = 1860 fitted. Glow-worm Make TBC =...
