Posting here as this is "roof" related and also "plumbing" potentially...

There is an ominous looking crack and slight bowing around a pipe in our kitchen.

I've only just spotted it, but it could have been there ages...

im wondering if there is a water deposit in the roof from the rain; or it could be nothing..

Photos attached.

Thoughts appreciated.

Many thanks

My guess, & it can only be a guess, is that as the length of pipe has expanded & contracted it has cracked & moved the plasterboard it passes through. The black mould spots look possibly worrying but may be just a bit of condensation. Unless you can gain access from above there is no real way to tell if it is leaking.

You provide minimal information, is it a ground kitchen extension? First floor flat kitchen? Etc .Looks like a poor fill job around pipe has just come loose due to movement .
