cylinder jacket and hot water pressure

My cylinder is directly under the cold water feed tank with no real elevation. Hot water pressure is low. Can I fit a pump anywhere that automatically switches on when a tap is openef? Also, the cylinder has about 40mm of foam stuck to it. Someone said it also needs a jacket. True??? Crakkers

Vaillant EcoTec Plus Boiler Hot Water

There is a thermostat strapped to the cylinder with a dial setting knob on it too. Also I noticed that I have two dials on the boiler. One with a radiator icon the other a tap. If I turn the rad dial off everything goes cold regardless of the postion of the tap dial. The rad dial needs to be...

retro fitting a wireless room tstat.

WOW, difficult this. I dont really want to remove anything. Just wondering if a wireless reciever will replace the current tstat on the wall? Why does it need to go next to the valves? I have no airing cupboard. All motorised valves (only 1 i think) id above the boiler in the roof void. B

    chain door closer

hi I bought a chain door closer and have realised that because the door is a glass panel type the barrel of the closer is too long to fit. BUT, just had the thought of fitting it at the top or bottom of the door. Will it still work ie, close the door if fitted so far off the middle...

    Energy Saving MR16 Bulbs??

A few years ago I fitted 16 50W MR16 bulbs in the kitchen. I had to reinforce the electric meter as when they are all on the wheel spins that fast I think it might fly into orbit. So its now time to rethink. Kitchen is dark and dingy and so we need the 800W of light given by the MR16s. but...
