Hi Folks, My consumer unit is around 5 years old max and I'm being told its not compatible with the new generation of smart meters. Anyone else have or heard of this problem? From Fuse energy - Our meter operator has told us that if a smart meter is installed with one of these consumer units...

    Water leaking through tundish

Tbf there was only a dry stain but since his visit appears to be leaking now. As you said probably down to pressure. I've noticed a slight increase especially when I first turn on the hw tap. As I said I'm limited in choice here, there are only 2 plumbers in the area and one wouldn't respond so...

    Water leaking through tundish

From the t&p valve, does the valve potentially just need refitting?

    Water leaking through tundish

So he replaced the 6bar cold water prv. This must have been faulty given the water was at some points cold coming through the tundish. Surely the fact that the water this morning was hot suggests its the 10bar t&p valve near the top of the tank? It's not running constantly like it was before...

    Water leaking through tundish

I live very remotely so kind of have to take what I can get. He was there to resolve the issue. Is it possible the thermostat could be set too high and therefore it spills when above 90c? The water this morning coming through the tundish was hot however, before the repair, in the evenings the...

    Central heating thermostat replacement

Hi, I'm looking to replace my Sangamo thermostat with something a bit more user friendly. My current set up is a danfoss Fp715si for timers so ideally just need a digital thermostat to replace the rstat3, this is hard wired. I've looked at the hive / tado stuff but it seems to replace both...

    Water leaking through tundish

@Johntheo5 I'm not sure, it's quite boxed in which doesn't make it easy to figure out what goes where. I've added some pictures, hopefully makes sense I'll also add that I checked the water temp coming out this morning and it's hot water.

    Water leaking through tundish

Hi, I'm new to unvented hot water systems. Recently I've noticed water leaking through the tundish, it's almost a steady flow. If I turn on the hot water tap for a few moments it stops running I'm guessingbdue to the drop in pressure. I wouldn't say the hot water is excessively hot. The cold...

    Boiler expansion vessel help

I have a saunier duval isofast condens f35e boiler. Over the winter it has continually dropped pressure from 1bar to 0.7 in about 5 days. There is water coming out of the pressure relief outlet when the central heating is on. I tested to see if there was air in the 10ltr expansion vessel...

Saunier Duval isofast condens f35e - leak from boiler

Thanks for the prompt replies. Yes it does leak while topping up, normally a dribble when I close the top up valve. It does leak during operation though as I have to keep a small cup underneath. Would this cause the pressure to drop? Any estimates on cost to replace, thanks

Saunier Duval isofast condens f35e - leak from boiler

HI, I'm wondering if any kind persons on this site will help me identify the part which I believe is causing the loss of pressure from the boiler. There is a threaded pipe under the boiler which leaks during operation. With it being a closed system I can only imagine this is causing the drop in...

    New patio pointing breaking up

Hi, I had a new indian sandtone patio put down about 3-4 weeks ago. It was set on a mortar bed but after a short time it looks like the pointing has failed completely. One of the slabs on the end can be easily lifted out of place. There is movement in a few slabs. I have attached...

Saunier Duvall Isofast condens f35e leaking water.

Sorry, I've investigated a little further and the water is coming from the nut joining the copper pipe to the top left of the boiler. There are 2 pipes going in and it visibly leaks when the central heating is on. I've tried to tighten it by hand but can't turn it. It is in a very difficult...
