    Crane and delivery was here at 8am we had the truss lorry unloaded by 10am then had all trusses up by 1.30. Crane driver gave us a hand to place the first ten trusses by hand and he went about 3.30

    Its 5am crane arrives at 8am then the truss lorry. I'm worried about my extended plates we have the option to externally strap down as we are going to have some external insulation. My scaffold went up just after Christmas.

    Need some advice: Chimney breast was removed and the support seems strange

    I've seen chimneys supported on thin air, biscuit containers, lumps of 4x2. Seen entire bay windows at 2nd storey supported on 2" angle iron into the block work. I wouldn't worry about the chimney isn't going anywhere.

    We are having a loft conversion, we'll actually we are replacing the entire bungalow roof with attic Trusses. The room void is built into the truss. I've attached the layout drawing. My question Is would there be a issue raising the outside plates by 4" plus 18mm. My existing ceiling joists...

    We had exact same on a small estate in Woking. Used to be site of a hotel rather than bring new supply in they used the existing medium. SGN did come round and overhaul them drain the Chambers and overhaul the regulators free of charge. Cannot see you getting it moved though, planner/architect...

    Oki don't go for 1mtr wide panels there a pain to move around/fit. Geopanel do 600mm wide panels and there t/g groove is that tight you cannot see it. Depending on how upright and plumb your walls are you could get away with an acrylic primer then bond directly onto the wall with panel fix...

    Well it's your choice don't pay it and when the materials go up you pay the extra. So it's £5200 say. Simples Wood has gone up 100% Sterling board is like £45 a sheet now we were paying £28 for wbp Ply last year!!

    Yup it's only the gas guys who have to redo it every 5 years. DAMM should of been a sparky.
