What thickness flooring boards should be used?

Deciding on what type of flooring to put down. Is 18mm panel boards ok to put down as the main structural flooring on the 1st and 2nd floor over the joists? It will take levelling compound and wet UFH and then carpet in room areas or tiles in wet rooms.

    Outbuilding construction

For my understanding why will blocks be more expensive? I would have thought there is less labour involved due to bigger size blocks v smaller bricks? Also we're looking at the termalite blocks not the heavy concrete ones.

    Outbuilding construction

Looking to build a small outbuilding of about 15m to 20m2 for general use / gym. Few questions: 1. I am undecided whether I want to use blocks or brick facing. Will I see much insulative properties by using thermalite blocks compared with bricks? 2. To keep the cost down I was thinking of...

What kind of spot light to use in steam/shower enclosure?

I guess I would need to choose the same spot lights for the shower enclosure that I would need for the rest of the bathroom and the connected room to the en suite for matching purposes. Problem then is that the connected hall ways and other rooms wont match.

    Pixelation problems

That was one of my assumptions because the old 20 year old Wolseley(sp?) booster was coming apart and the new one has no variable control. I'm not sure that not fitting s booster will work as I tried this many years ago given that we have the incoming signal split 4 ways at the booster.
