Stivino was warmer, a roulette wheel is getting colder, a clue would be the "bits" you can see in the picture, they are not dirt

Bosch washing machine keeps spining with 1 minute displayed

I have a Bosch washing machine too, slightly different model but mine does that too...it carries on for 10 minutes or more with 1 minute remaining showing on the screen. I'm not sure if this just means the main cycle is over but the machine always does what it should if left to it's own devices....

    Removing a stripped(ish) hex c'sunk bolt

The plate that is held by the bolts, assuming it is not "keyed" by anything else, get a helper to rotate the entire plate as you try to loosen the screw. Hopefully rotating the plate and screw together will free it.....

What was your first experience with police?

My brothers Vauxhall Chevanne (yes Chevette van) had it's water pump seize and shear off, 40 odd miles away in Northampton. I went out to help and he talked me into towing him home. This, I must add, was nearly 40 years ago and I was a rather stupid teen on a Yamaha YB100 motorbike. We made it...

    American terrorism ?

That's fair enough...my thought was that it might not be a normal shut down? Russians turning off the taps unannounced so to speak. I suspect a normal shut down would leave positive pressure in the pipe, if it was unannounced however and the pumps upstream were still running the pressure may not...

    American terrorism ?

I might be at odds with the general consensus but I have a feeling that the damage to the pipelines may be due to it being shut down. The normal pressure this thing runs at is well into 4 figures (in PSI) so I think it's reasonable that the steel pipe would expand when in normal use, Obviously...

    generator storage

I used to work at the U.K's largest "live" aviation museum and the engineers on the vintage aircraft would use Aeroshell 2XN fluid. As well as a drain and re-fill they would fill bores etc and even spray it on cams and in exhaust/inlet ports. They would then label the engine "Inhibited do not...

New build house with defective drylinig

Whatever you do, don't start injecting foam into places you can't see. The amount that stuff can expand and the force at which it can push is incredible so you could end up with wavy walls. On internal walls I'd scribe and cut a straight line and remove enough plaster to get some wet plaster in...
