The ceiling rose will be fine. All the wiring will be removed from the spotlights and the spare switch will then be used for outside lights. Just need a wiring diagram for the ceiling rose to the single switch at each end of kitchen (switch at each door)

The old spotlights will just be left disconnected in position until we do up the kitchen. Ill then remove them and plaster the ceiling. Access isnt an issue as am in bungalow and loft isnt floored

My kitchen lights are currently 8 old style spotlights dotted about in the ceiling. The switch is a 3 way switch. Everywhere Ive looked says different. Some say between 8 and 12 hours, some say 10 some say 12. Has anyone got any experience in this, or will I just put a box over it every day after about 5pm?

Yeh I reckon it may get about 8 hours of darkness a night? Is this not enough or would it just really slow the process down? Maybe best off just getting a box over it

Theyve been on that windowsill for months now, no issues. Just seems since they started producing fruit they have really slowed down. Do they need extra feed/water whilst they are producing fruit? Maybe the temperature is slightly colder during the night now?
