    yes at the telephone side, terminals are all small for low voltage cable. thanks for trying to contact texecom, hope you have better luck than me :D . surely someone out there installs loads of them each year and do other diallers need earthed?

    bought a texecom speech dialler, installation manual states that it must be earthed! E-mailed texecom several times and got no reply (they must only reply to registered pros :roll: ?) do I just use a spare core on the alarm cable and earth it at the panel? or what?

    putting in a dialler by way of hard wiring, routing telephone cable & panel cable to the dialler. I want to know if I can run both cables down the same conduit pipe ( in the wall from ceiling)or do they have to be run in seprately :roll: would be handier in the one as I'm tracking the wall

    I originally only wanted a few more opinions on the use of screened cable I did'nt mean it to end in a full scale war! Sounds like the use of that particular cable is up to each individual but would do more good than harm to use it :roll: sorry gees :?

    would plastering straight over it actually cause chemical damage to the cable it being plastic sheathed? I might just put it in conduit pipe then, forgot to mention its a new build. Any other advice you have appreciated :) cheers
