The house is a 4 bed detached with two showers, on the SE coast so does get very windy, 14 rads in total 3 of them column house takes 2hrs+ to get warm, boiler is on full speed during that time. This is a F&E System.

Nothing has changed used the central heating for the first time yesterday, dont think my system has a by-pass valve. Have set the boiler temp to 60, should it not keep running until the temperture is reached on the Nest thermostat.

Any particular reason a boiler would run for an hour or so and then turn off while the thermostat is still calling for heat ?

Only valves I have are these. Think I'll have to wait until winter and see how the system performs.

Shut all the rads fired up the boiler it ran for maybe a minute then F22 dry error.

If going for a Vaillant boiler is my Nest still the best option for controls, I want to be able to turn the heating on from my mobile phone.

The rads take about an hour to get hot, they never get very hot if the boiler is set to 70 it can take 3 hours to reach this temp. All the radiators are new, system cleaner added and flushed, the F&E tank cleaned out.

Hi yes both flow and pressure tests on the outside garden tap were done, He did look at the gas pipes from the meter but they go into a void under the stairs. I've have a few plumbers look at the system while the BG 330+ runs nice and quiet in the winter I'm sure while getting up to tempreture...

Moved into this house 3 years ago and its always taken about 3 hrs to get the house upto temperature, I found that the pump was connected to the return pipe so had that changed with a new pump and fitted to the flow side of the system but that has not improve things, not sure if 12 years with...

Any reason why a boiler would just turn off without any error messages, it was running fine chugging along at 70 then a sound from one of the rads, on checking the boiler it was off even though the thermostat was calling for heat. A few minutes later it fired up again.
