    plaster board

Sorry to hijack the thread, however I am wanting to line the rafters of my loft after insulating them and am planning on using T/E plasterboard. However, due to the size of my loft hatch, I have to use 6x3 boards. This will mean that I will have too, at some stage, butt up the boards on non T/E...

    Hand held computers

Hi Dave If you get a windows mobile device, such as a PDA (Dell Axim, Ipaq, etc) you can set them to synchronise with a PC when connected. Even better, you can use voice recording on the device and use a voice to text conversion software! Some smart phones can also act as portable devices...

    cupboard in chimney breast

Hi noseall The cupboard will be to the centre of the chimney, leaving a gap either side of the cupboard within the chimney. I agree about the soot, which is why I will ensure it is fully boarded and sealed. Any ideas on the support side? Hopefully this is a bit clearer! CP

    house insurance during loft conversion

That sounds like you should be speaking to your insurers and run it by them. They should be able to advise on what measures you should take, along with confirmation of any insurance your builders should have! CP :EDIT: Just realised someone rplied to your other post :-)

internet TV - can I use wireless?

As the previous comment, streaming live content is a definite no no on wireless g unless you go for the likes of the Ruckus media flex kit which is widely used in Europe for streaming several HD streams. But again you have to combat the noise around your network, which isn't easy. If you can...
