Air Pressure tubes - keep filling with water

Hi all, I have a Worcester 28i which has a problem with the Red & White rubber pipes that go the the air pressure sensor frequently filling up with water/condensation. Once they are cleared and the water is removed from the pipe the boiler operates for about 12 hours before needing the process...

Can't use HW and CH at same time

Hi All, I've been having problems with my Worcester 28i Boiler, there seems to be a number of issues which may be linked but the main problem is the CH not working for longer than 30 minutes. The boiler ignites for 5 minutes, stops for 5 , ignites for 5, stops for 5 and then eventually locks...

    Worcester 28i - Fan Issue & No HW/CH

Hi all, I have a 10yr old Worcester 28i combi boiler which is currently not working at all and by the sounds of it its due to the fan. Issue 1 (The current issue) - As soon as there is power to the boiler without any demand the fan cuts in at high speed immediately after switching power on to...

Worcester 28i Boiler - Locking out

Many thanks for the help :) Turns out that the boiler flue was not pointing down (towards the ground) enough and condensate was building up in the fan. I understand newer models need to be installed with flue pointing up slightly just to confuse things?!

Worcester 28i Boiler - Locking out

The boiler flue slopes down but only a tiny fraction, almost level. The boiler only has appears to have an issue when the weather is very cold (6oc and below) and broke soon after increasing the heat thermostat on the boiler.

Worcester 28i Boiler - Locking out

Yeah apologies it was more out of desperation/testing until I get someone to take responsibility to try fix this. The Flue appears to be pretty straight to me and not obviously leaning back towards the boiler.

Worcester 28i Boiler - Locking out

Hi all, I have a Worcester 28i boiler which locks out in cold weather (usually after its been snowing). The boiler worked perfectly all year however now it is cold/snowing it keeps locking out. CH and HW work for approx 5 hours before the fault indicator starts to rapidly flash (5 times a...

Boiler Issue - No hot water to more than one tap at a time

Forgot to update on how things went, turns out that it was the shower thermostat valve. We can now use cold or hot water and also flush the toilet in the house without the shower immediately going stone cold within 2 seconds.

Leaking & Cold shower - which valve?

That's the thing I don't want to go taking apart the wall unless i know for a fact that its the pipework leading to the shower if its possible the surface mount shower is failing and pushing water back in to the wall.

Leaking & Cold shower - which valve?

yeah thanks for that response and for your information it is a surface mount however the pipework (if its not the valve) is obviously inside the wall. That'll teach me

Leaking & Cold shower - which valve?

Yeah the shower worked fine previously for 3/4 months. I'll buy a new thermostatic cartridge, I've had a look on ebay and see wo have generic ones for £40 or an official one from Triton for £90 It been slowly leaking since about 2 months after install but as the plumber did a cash in hand...

Leaking & Cold shower - which valve?

Hi there, I have a problem with my Triton bar valve shower first of all leaking, it seems to be an issue with pipework (which i can't get to without smashing a wall down) or the valve. The shower is also stone cold unless i run a cold water tap. I'm was considering replacing either the...

Boiler Issue - No hot water to more than one tap at a time

I wouldn't say that was the case, yes they are not great boilers but that doesn't explain why previously the boiler worked without issues before.

Boiler Issue - No hot water to more than one tap at a time

Yes the bath and basin taps do the same, the shower is the last in line in terms of the plumbing so is always effected. It is also a thermostatic mixer. The previous boiler was a Biasi Riva Advance HE

Boiler Issue - No hot water to more than one tap at a time

I've had a combi boiler before in my previous flat and was able to have a shower no problem while taps were being used elsewhere so im quite curious as to why this one is different. The previous boiler was just a cheap biasi combi boiler. This time if im in the shower and someone uses a tap...

Boiler Issue - No hot water to more than one tap at a time

Hi All, guessing this forum area is busy at this time of year! I have an issue with my Worcester Junior24i Combi Boiler producing hot water to more than one tap at a time. Only one tap at a time can be hot and its increasingly worsened as the weather has got colder. For example, if i'm...
