Damp kitchen floor - liquid dpm or underlay?

Thanks, I was thinking of using this: https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Bitumen-Damp-Proof-Membrane-Liquid---25L/p/151460?fix&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmN2iBhCrARIsAG_G2i4GuTpeK0yh4xmfmAbCBt5ot2MwHNd6YJvPjpCYzpSeKUD0QHXCwJwaAuXvEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Then vapour barrier underlay and then lvt click system...

Damp kitchen floor - liquid dpm or underlay?

Is that better than underlay with vapour barrier, or should be done as well as?

Damp kitchen floor - liquid dpm or underlay?

Sorry, should have said, it's a concrete floor

Damp kitchen floor - liquid dpm or underlay?

Kitchen is in a lean to, with no damp proof membrane fitted. Old laminate flooring is coming up, and underneath the laminate the underlay is very damp. I wanted to fit LVT flooring or self adhesive vinyl tiles. Should I use a liquid dpm underneath this, or is underlay with a vapour barrier...

If I may change bath and shower in the future, is floor tiling a good idea?

Thanks - so if I kept extra tiles and had to replace the bath for a slightly different shaped one, I should be able to retile the area around the bath without it being obvious?

If I may change bath and shower in the future, is floor tiling a good idea?

Previous owners installed bath, shower and lino flooring in the bathroom, however the lino now needs replacing. The shower and bath are ok for now, but if I had a bit more money I would probably swap them, and as they were installed by previous owners there's always the potential that they will...

    Copper pipe corrosion

So, if I wanted to replace the corroded section, would that have to be a plumber's job? Or could I do it with basic DIY?

    Copper pipe corrosion

Is there any reason why the hot water pipe is larger than the cold?

    Copper pipe corrosion

Thanks, I've done that and most comes away here is what I'm left with (how to tell if it needs replacing?)

    Copper pipe corrosion

Dripping tap on bath, decided to look at just replacing the tap. This is what I found removing the panel (been 3 years since I moved in). I'm guessing this is not good, but what should I do? (Hot pipe is the one on the right)

    Bath overflow system issue

I currently have something like this: https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Bath-Pop-Up-Waste+Overflow---Chrome/p/161897 installed on my bath. Thing is when I'm away my house is rented on Airbnb and whenever I come back there's anew problem with it (turning mechanism comes loose, and more recently...

    Fitting a backdraft shutter

Thanks, how would I go about fitting one of those? Would I have to take the existing vent off?

    Fitting a backdraft shutter

Just had a downstairs toilet done, with extractor fan, however since it's been finished I noticed the fan was constantly blowing cold air in from outside. Reading on these forums it seems I need to fit a backdraft shutter? Like this? My questions: 1) is there anything I could do to stop the...

How do I turn this radiator off?!

Thanks for this, that's how I'd interpret it too so better to be safe I guess - just means I'll have a slightly warmer kitchen which is no terrible thing! Thermostat is a wireless one, so I just move it around to whichever room I want heated if that makes sense.

How do I turn this radiator off?!

Thanks guys, it definitely looks like both are lockshield valves so that would explain it. I have a combi boiler, specifically the Ideal Logic+ C30 model. I've had a look at the handbook and it doesn't mention anything about radiators at all. I am trying to just heat one room up over winter...

How do I turn this radiator off?!

It's a small radiator in my kitchen and since moving in I've not properly looked at turning it off until now - but with rising heating costs etc I'd like to. Pic 1 is on the left side, pic 2 is on the right side - all the other radiators have thermostatic valves, and look quite different, so I'm...
