Ceiling Light Loop In - options?

Hi all, I need to swap a ceiling rose for a pendant light fitting. What is the correct way of dealing with the loop in? I understand a choc block on its own is no longer acceptable. I am going to struggle to get a choc box in. Is there another option? What about these wago connectors...

Saniflo 32mm outlet pipe to Cast Iron Stack

Just had new boiler fitted - Flow and Return swapped :(

I wrongly thought that the water would circulate around the radiator then go back down the flow thus the radiator will always have a supply of newly heated water coming into it. Live and Learn! From moggets response i now know what happens: Thanks for all your help.

Just had new boiler fitted - Flow and Return swapped :(

Sorry.. I think what i am trying to say is that when the TRV is on the flow side and the TRV reaches its set temperature then the flow of water to the radiator is restricted thus cooling the room down. If the TRV is on the return side then the water to the radiator (via the flow) is not...

Just had new boiler fitted - Flow and Return swapped :(

This is my thoughts too, so am i wrong? If i follow the FAQ then the last step is: Replace TRV heads and set to required temperature As the TRV is now on the return, if i set the TRV to 3 I am throttling the flow back to the return and the radiator will still be as hot??

Just had new boiler fitted - Flow and Return swapped :(

An open vented system was removed (think it was powered by a combi) and a combi put in place so quite a lot of pipework changes. I have checked the old TRVs and they have two arrows. They also are all working and no hammering noise. So it should be ok then? The only thing is, in my old...

Just had new boiler fitted - Flow and Return swapped :(

I have no idea. Maybe its a mistake? Half of the TRVs are these: http://www.screwfix.com/p/15mm-angled-trv-chrome-white/60368 The other half are old Honeywell ones - probably 15 years old. There has been no changes to the radiators - just a new boiler

Just had new boiler fitted - Flow and Return swapped :(

Hi All, I have just had a new boiler fitted today. The plumber has swapped over the Flow and Return which means all the TRV valves are now fitted on the return. Is this going to be an issue? Should i call him back to correct? Thanks

Hi All, Anyone know much about taking metals to the Scrap Yard? I have just replaced my radiators, is it worth taking them to the scrap metal yard? I have also replaced the TRV valves, and found some copper piping underneath the floor. Just not sure what I do about separating it all...
