Just wondering - 2.5/1.5 T & E has a Current Carrying Capacity of 27A when clipped direct (method 1) and is recognised as the standard for ring final circuits, as per OSG. With minimal correction factors this can easily be increased to above 34A. Straight away we have to increase the cable...

Just wondering why Max Zs stated is different, for example: In 7671 Max Zs for say a type 40a breaker is 1.2 In OSG it's stated as 0.96 Does anyone know why and which one to use?

Kettle & toaster on at the same time... MCB buzzing..... Turn the kettle and toaster off and it stops buzzing... They're the plug in type MCBs for the old Wylex CU. Any ideas?

I have this book and if you ask me it's '27 squid' welll spent. He goes through the full sequence of tests step by step (using a Megger 1552) explaining why you have to do the tests and what results you need ot look out for. As a developing Domestic Installer i've found this book invaluable.

Guys Can i connect a SW FCU off an existing spur to supply a fixed external floodlight? The existing spur is a double socket outlet off the upstairs ring.

Hello all, i'm installing a couple of PIR 500W floods for a friend. They're going to be independant of eachother and fed from the upstairs ring and conected to SW FCUs, protected by 3a (or maybe 5a) fuses respectively. I'm a developing domestic installer and have recently gained my C&G 2381...

My printer won't print in black, colour only. The black ink cartridge still has plenty of ink left in it. I havn't used the printer for a while so i'm assuming some of the ink has dried up around the outlet stopping the ink getting through. Anybody had this problem before? I can't get out to...
