Volt drop question...

When calculating volt drop at design stage for a ring circuit. Can you halve the result for the 2 legs of the ring?

For example:

2.5 T & E
20 metres

Volt drop = cable length x design current x (mV/A/m) / 1000

Therefore:

Volt drop = 20 x 32 x 18 / 1000 = 11.52V voltdrop.

Do i then divide by 2 to make it 5.76V for each leg

to get worst case volt drop divide the total length of the ring by 4 before doing the calculation (2 for the fact that the distance to the furthest point is half the lengh of the ring and 2 for the fact there are two legs)

Which works out at 2.88A

Would that be right then?
