Armoured cable from house to garage?

Oh yeah good point! I just intend to have a couple of sockets and some lighting. It really will be to charge tools and at most I’d have a fridge/freezer too. Would 10mm cable be ample for that?

    Bathroom Fan Isolator switch?

Needing to have a humidistat fan installed in the bathroom. Does it require a 3-pole isolator switch? If so... is it acceptable to have this switch in an airing cupboard next to the bathroom? or does it have to be above the bathroom door? Thanks in advance!

Converting garage into a holiday let

Thanks for all of the helpful info. Ive got a good idea of what's involved with the building work and regs etc but hadn't put enough thought into council tax. I've got plenty of research to get on with but so far the idea is still viable (I think!) o_O

    Hacking off render

I understand the theory here but there’s lots of horizontal cracking where the original wall ties failed so I feel hacking the render off is the only option. It is indeed quite well stuck but surely there’s a faster way than hammer and bolster?
