Adding light to existing circuit?

Hi Im wanting to fit an outside/porch light with its own switch. The nearest existing light is the hallway pendant. I have lifted the floorboards above and there are two cables going to the ceiling rose (one twin and earth IN and the switch cable) so presumably this is the last light on the circuit?

Just would like to know the best way to wire the new light and switch? Happy to chase walls etc as its all getting re-plastered anyway

If there is a permanent live ,neutral ,and earth available at the hallway pendant ,then you can pick up the supply from there . Take it to your switch ,and on to the external light .
Is the circuit protected by an RCD ?
What specifically do you want to know ?

Yeah there is. Is it okay to break into the circuit with a junction box such as this? rather than disturbing the ceiling rose:

Circuit is protected by an RCD yeah.

I have some 1.5 twin and earth is this okay to use? and also for the new switch cable?

Why would you want to introduce a junction box ,when you can wire directly from the rose ?
Take the cable to a double pole switch ,and from there to your light fitting.
1.5 T&E cable is fine.

I wasn't sure which was the more correct method that was all! Thanks for the help though, no junction box it is lol
