    Insulate edwardian roof

As not reply so far, Have looked into it a bit more How about 25mm of K7 between rafters (leaving 50mm + counter battens) then K18 plaster board to maybe 25+12.5. I know its not up to regs, but its got to be better than a bit of 100year old black lime plaster. Could I also slap some 2x2...

Basic advice , everyone has their own

Hi, just read the sticky 'basic guide' but want to double check I have done several small tiling jobs with complete success. Last was WC in marble, 3m floor 7mwall. To prepare the floor I just used adhesive and screw to secure 6mm hardibacker as the deflection was very minimal. All has...

Part P - special location in bedroom?

16th regs showed sinks and the areas around them as Zone two (I think), so I was surprised to see the new reg diagrams did not include sinks. As they are usually full of water, I just wanted to be sure. Better safe than dead... or part P illegal!! I'm just a handy man, sorry for any offence...

Part P - special location in bedroom?

I want to add a washstand/ shaver point/ mirror light in the corner of a bedroom. Does this count as special location/ need Part P clearance. Would I have to ensure any sockets are >3m away. The regs I looked at seem to have changed (only Zones 0-2 now?!)

    tap tails with Valve

Hi Does anyone know if you can get flexible tap tails (for monoblock) with a valve built in? Seen them for normal taps. I know you could just put a isolating valve in line, but I want to minimise the amount of pipework sticking out of the wall! Thanks
