Ah, thanks another 'click' product, got the flame guards in my house and have been very pleased with them, expect they're a few quid as they are well engineered ;) just out of interest how do they compare to cob led down lights? Also have the entire 115mm cavity at my disposal as its a warm...

    window reveal

I have a gap between my timber frame window reveal and exterior cladding and wondered what options I have for bridging this gap? As my cladding will turn silver in time I don't want a painted or varnished wood next to it. As my windows are going to be grey UPVC I wondered about using grey...

can someone ideitify this type of window/frame

I did wonder but didn't want to judge as it's something I know little about. So they're not 'old hat' or a bad solution. The way he said they were used on mobile homes made them sound like a temp or bodge... I think they look like a good way to bridge my gap and weather seal at the same time...

can someone ideitify this type of window/frame

so got a local DG company out today who said the profile was odd leg however they said they were a bit 'old hat' and finding ones in grey would be difficult. I asked how they drained and if they were any good but they guy didn't really have any info as he said they were more suited to mobile...

can someone ideitify this type of window/frame

Ah thanks. Are they a good idea? they seems to be difficult to find... The only reason I was looking at them is due to there being a gap between my window frame and the exterior cladding due to the counter batons so I have a nasty gap to hide/bridge. Have considered lining the window frame with...

can someone ideitify this type of window/frame

Need to get the glazing on my garden office but as my cladding if counter battened there's a nasty gap that I need to bridge. My initial thought was to line the openings with grey capping board as it would overlap the external cladding making a tidy weather proof edge and would leave a fully...

    Glazing and fitting advice

Thanks for the advice... Sounds like the windows are pretty easy as the frames are square. Reason the door is so wide is my old man was round when I was doing the stud work and got into my head saying a decent front door was 3'6" so I should make it at least that wide in case I want to get a...
