    Danfoss Programmer problems

I've tried re-seating it on the connection pins but it doesn't seem to make any difference. We're not 100% sure that it was knocked.

    Danfoss Programmer problems

Hello, Our Danfoss CP15 got knocked today and has since failed to work properly. All of a sudden, there's what looks like a small battery symbol in the LCD flashing. And also, i can no longer hit the '+1Hr' button, it just doesn't work. So no heating and no hot water. Any idea what the...

Using a Router - Following lines

Yes, that is what i meant; a groove 10mm from the edge. OK, will do it like that. Make a pattern first and follow that. I was thinking some sort of single-point fence or guide - like an extended bearing. But a pattern is dooable! I suppose i can make that out of thin hardboard? Mr. T.

Using a Router - Following lines

Hello, I am planning on building a set of three shelves to fit inside an alcove. They are all different sizes, the top one being thin and getting wider on the middle one and wider still on the bottom shelf. At one end, they curve so that the left hand side is, say 40cm wide and the...

    power flush micro bore

My dad once put 11psi of air from a compressor through the heating system to flush it out - it blew the tank apart and several runs of pipe. It did, however, shift the thousands of carcasses of wasps that had died in the tanks in the loft and clogged up all the pipework!!!!

Need a needle valve - 'Y' with two taps???

Yea, just like those RS ones, but with two outputs. One tap controlling both. So 'A' is on 100% then 'B' is on 0% - as you turn the tap, it moves to 80/20, 50/50, 30/70 etc etc.

Need a needle valve - 'Y' with two taps???

It would be easier to have a two valves setup together, i guess.

Need a needle valve - 'Y' with two taps???

OK, the thread title is a little confusing, i need one tap... It's for liquid flow, at atmospheric pressure, it's open so i think that's atmospheric?? SO yea, one tap that switches the flow from one to the other... Cheers Chris!

Need a needle valve - 'Y' with two taps???

Hello! Thanks for your input on my last thread - i've now got a load of options and some names of things so i can ask properly. I'm looking for a needle valve - it would be good if i could get one that has one input and two outputs - with the valve controlling the two. So as one increases...

RJT Fitting - What is it?

OK, i gave BSS a call, local to me. They have the 54mm in stock and it's about £30 - so thanks for the tip. I've searched for images and i just want to get this right - it's a flange that fits through a hole with a thread on it that clamps it to the tank/metal that has the hole in. Then the...

RJT Fitting - What is it?

Ok, these sound good. I've found a few 42mm tank connectors - It's a compression fitting basically, yes? Where would i find a braizing flange? I don't want to spend £160! If it's a nice solution, i'd maybe pay up to £50, if that helps?

RJT Fitting - What is it?

Yea, okay - it's a bit cryptic! Stay with me here... Yes, i've got a 54mm copper pipe. I need to attach it to a piece of steel that is about 4mm thick - a steel plate. I need the join to be 'releaseable', if there is such a word! I was thinking of some sort of 'tank/hose' fitting - perhaps...

RJT Fitting - What is it?

Yea, i'll need a big blow torch, eh?! So, would one of those work to fit a big tube to a plate? Is it like, one piece goes on one side, and the other pieces clamp the tubing to the first piece, which is sticking through? Does that make sense? Thanks for your help!

RJT Fitting - What is it?

Hello! What is an RJT fitting? I need to connect a copper tube of 54mm to a flat piece of steel - i was looking for some sort of flange to solder onto the copper tube and bolt onto a piece of steel. Someone mentioned an RJT fitting, said it was like a compression fitting or something...

Weathershield / Draught excluder for Wood Windows

Brilliant stuff, many many thanks. I suppose it is not critical i have the exact same extrusion profile, is it? The only 'P' shaped profile i can find is rather large - but the 'lollipop' shaped one you have attached looks like it will do the job, i think. Mr. Tickle.

Weathershield / Draught excluder for Wood Windows

Ahh, John. When you ask such direct answers it send a shudder down my spine. If only my local Glazier did that! Okay, It is the rubber extrusion part that goes into a rebate in my frame (not the moveable window bit). The profile edge of it looks like a 'P' with two little barbs on the down...

Weathershield / Draught excluder for Wood Windows

Hello board! I am doing some DIY maintenance to my wooden double glazed windows. A lot of them need the rubber sealing replacing as it is going all nasty, black and cracking. I am trying to source some - i'm going to need about 30m to do all my windows. It's proving really difficult...

Wooden Window Repairs - the Wood side of things.

Hey Builder! Thanks for the tip, i will try it tonight. As for the Linseed Oil - you can get linseed oil paint, so there'd be no need to paint it with petrol-paint at a later date. Do people put linseed oil paint on all wood window frames, or is it just the period properties/heavy oak...

Wooden Window Repairs - the Wood side of things.

Thanks for the link, i've seen it before. My wood windows aren't that good quality, they aren't nicely joined oak or anything like that. So i'm a little bit reluctant to buy and use this stuff, that i know little about. No one in the area stocks this stuff and non of the staff in any...
