    Foundation help required..Piccy!!

Floors tend not to be screeded here, usually poured concrete and then a powered concrete finisher to get the finish. Omitted DPM and DPC, it's coming in another drawing  Point taken about encasing drain will speak to BCO. Underfloor heating is still under consideration, more...

That is an option, but we are hoping to pull down the wall where the meter already exists and therefore increase the size of the living room.

    Laptop died..

Thanks for the tip on the manuals, found some online manuals and after a bit of googling, it turns out the dc jack is a weak point. So armed with a screwdriver I stripped down the lappie to the motherboard and it is looking like it is the DC jack that is the problem. I'm only getting 8...

    Gravity fed radiator..

This thread has all the elements of a classic hijack :D Anyhow back to the original post, found a hole in the hot water draw off pipe under the floor (concrete). So most of the heated water was heading south to Auz. I replaced a small section of the pipe which was 3/4" and was insulated...

    Gravity fed radiator..

Oops opened a small can of worms here. Try and answer what you have asked. Primaries are 28mm and do rise up to the tank. Lock shields on both inlent and outlet of rad. No safetyvalve that I could see. Can't give you the in and out temps just now, as the tiler and decorater have...

    Timber Frame Timber Dimensions.

I have recieved a set of plans from my architect to look over before they go to planning, it's a timber frame with 100mm external blockwork and a 50mm cavity. The timber frame is quoted as "150x47 c16 timber framework". What I am wondering is this size of timber planed all round or only...

    Suspect power shower pump wiring?

Power shower pump gave up the ghost this morning, went to isolate the supply to the pump prior to removal and could not find a fuse. Tracked the cable and found it spurred into one of the light switches outside the bathroom door. Correct me if I'm wrong, but would the pump not be better...
