Hi, I've got a Premier 48 panel running V8.16 and was looking to install a SmartCom. The instructions only mention Premier Elite panels so my question is am I able to update the firmware on the panel or will I have to replace it with a new Elite panel to be able to get it to work? Thanks

It looks like it's cut the cable or nothing! I may speak to the supplier when they're open on Monday. Thanks for your suggestions though

Not sure of the connections in the plug, I'll have to go and buy a new screwdriver to remove it as the screws are the triangular security type

The pump is also 30mA. Yes that would work, the dilemma is the warranty with cutting the cable but that may have to be for the convenience factor of not having to manually reset it everytime and being able to run it for set periods overnight etc.

Thanks for the reply. Is the RCD required on the unit when all of the house circuits are RCBO? I suppose any alteration will void the void on it as well which isn't ideal

I've just purchased a hot splash heat pump for the kids pool and was hoping to run it on a timer. The problem I've got is that the plug has an integral RCD and every time the power is cut the RCD resets so when power is restored the heat pump doesn't work. Is there any way around the RCD...

Hi, thanks and yes that's right but my concern was with it effectively just bring a straight pipe, if it will work then that's great and my other query is the size of element needed to ensure there is enough heat so the top horizontal bar gets hot.

So if I get a 8xp-W the ricochet PIR's and remotes will work ok with my current premier 48 panel?

A couple of reasons, one is that I've just built a new shed in the garden and wanted to extend the system to that and the other is that my Radio Plus remote is in a bad way and could do with replacing but you can't get the Radio Plus equipment anymore.

So anything above v8.15 is supported? I've just checked with menu 4 and it says I have v8.16. I'm assuming that all I will need then is the 8xp-W?
