Hi all, Today i embarked on a "change the bearing" exercise,first a bit of background.Machine is nearly 6 years old,before Christmas stopped draining so changed pump mechanism.Early Jan wouldnt do anything,then wife found 5 year insurance policy was just in date so rung up explained...

Difficult,but you could try to scour it with a blade first to allow steam to penetrate.You can buy a gadget like a knife on wheels to scour dont know where though! Paul

Zampa,once again many thanks for your advice finished room today.I didnt have any problems apart from a bit of surplus paste getting on the edges,but was a black paper with a white floral motif.Wiped down as i went and wasnt bad. Cheers Paul :)
