    Adding and removing! panel heaters

Checked the CU in the flat where I want to add the panel heaters it has 2 of 5A lighting fuseholders, 1 of 15A (I presume for immersion) and 3 of 30A into 2 of the 30A is a single core live which both look thicker than 2.5mm and the 3rd 30A seems to have 2 live cores but each core sort of looks...

    Whats the standard procedure?

Thanks, But 2 nd consumer unit is for house extension on other side of fat wall - not practical to run all cables from existing CU. Extension will have bedroom, shower room and utility room. Which presumably will require more than 32 amp mcb and thicker cable.

We would like to install a wood burner with boiler that will provide hot water to a thermal store preferably by gravity and have enough heat output for the room it is located in. We would also like to connect into the thermal store an oil boiler for times when we don't have the burner running...

Another question if I am not asking too many. We have an Incoming mains (PME system), which splits to 1.storage heater system with meter and CU. 2.The other part of the split goes to normal meter connected to CU in main part of house then from a 30A rewireable fuse in this CU runs a cable...

I DO just want to remove the panel heaters not the CU. I wanted to know in question 1 basically if the CU is off is it safe for me to unwire the panel heaters (2) from the CU. Might mention that i am a Her and not a He - not that it is of great significance I guess - well in this situation...

    Earth wire space

The reason I was asking about the earths is because in one of the existing JB's all the earths were not connecting in with the feed cable earth and I thought this odd - I guess they did this due to lack of space. If I add on extra boxes then there should be ample space and I can rectify this...

    Earth wire space

Thanks, I think I will run the feed to a new box and put the new light into that so there are less cores in each terminal and plenty room for the earths. Not that this is relevant if i do it this way but out of interest from my original question do all light cable and switch cable earths...

    Earth wire space

Are these large JB's not good - I wasn't planning to rewire the whole house just add a few lights into the existing circuit which has 3 of these boxes each going to a seperate fuseholder in the CU. i thought they seemed quite good as all in one place. If I change to individual JB's would...
