    this may sound stupid but can you learn to use backing plaster (sand/cement) or (bonding/hardwall/browning) by following a book or dvd's instructions. i bought a plastering dvd called mastering plastering of the internet and that taught me how to skim useing multi-finish and i haven't looked...

    no the plasterboard meets the internal corner then the chimney comes out and then you have the brick external corner, hense my confusion with the corner beads, your right , there is a lot of work involved with the render

    i really dont know, i can get a very good finish and work very hard but this is new to me, up until now i have only plastered my family and friends homes for nothing. i think a weekend away from the missus and kids + grafting for 2 days, i would hope for about £250 , or is that to much.
