    Green Flux stain in carpet

I have just finished some plumbing in the airing cupboard and despite putting down a dust cover over the landing carpet, I spilt some molten green flux and it's penetrated the carpet. I can't seem to move it with the traditional carpet cleaners or Fairy Liquid. has anyone any clues as to what...

    Whole house Hot/Cold Pumps

I am about to fit seperate pumps to increase the whole house hot and cold water flow from my traditional vented system in my 4 bedroom house with one bathroom with Shower and an en-suite shower with Bath. I have looked at the Techflow Turbo 2 SE/NHE (2 Bar) and also the new Stuart Turner...

    Mains water flow rate

Mickyg, 14l/min is probably well worth paying for if you have the hot water pressure I have !! I can't raise the cold Feed storage tank in loft. Simond, The Excel GX (no integrated F&E Tank as I already have one) from DPS is about £1900 vs the Gledhill Torrent which is about £880 !!

    Mains water flow rate

I have very poor hot water flow at every tap and shower in the house even downstairs. It takes about 20 minutes to fill a bath !! I have a shower pump on one shower but I'm sick of the noise it makes. I want to fix this problem once and for all !!. I will call Gledhill and see what they say...

    Mains water flow rate

I am contemplating installing a T200, 190 litre Gledhill Torrent Indirect Thermal Store to replace my traditional Gravity fed Hot water cylinder. I am keeping my existing Central Heating system set up. I just need DHW at a decent pressure for showers and not to have to wait 20 minutes for a...

    Low shower water pressure

Thanks. I am going to replace all 15mm with 22mm and remove all 90 degree bends wherever possible using a pipe bender instead. I will replace the gate valve with a ball isolator valve. I will see how things work then. I really want to avoid fitting a pump if at all possible...

    Low shower water pressure

Thanks Seco Services. Plumbing a seperate 22mm supply from the Hot water cylinder is really not practical in my house (a major job!!!). I guess I could look at raising the cold water storage tank in the loft. How much higher would you suggest to make the presssure acceptable? I can...

    Low shower water pressure

I am installing a wetroom in our en-suite bathroom and I have replaced the old aqualisa shower with a 0.1 Bar thermostatic mixer valve (22 mm connections, Hot in, Cold in and mixed out). It is feeding a 0.1 Bar low pressure 'drench'shower head. The old shower was plumbed with 15mm piping so I...

    Waste pipe layout

I am connecting the wastes from a Wash hand basin, Wetroom waste, and a bath into a 110mm soil pipe. All are running under the wooden floor cavity on the first floor of the house. The wet room 40mm waste will run along the length of the bathroom for about 3 metres and then turn left for...

    OK, thanks everyone. Sorted. Regards

    Height of a Bathroom Radiator

The reason I want to fit it higher up is because it will be on a wall above the end of the bath. There is not sufficient gap between the bath and wall to fit it lower down as normal. Before I finally decide where to put it, I wanted to know if there is any technical reason why a radiator...

    Height of a Bathroom Radiator

I am re-furbishing my first floor bathroom. I am removing the existing radiator which is just above the skirting board and fitting a new chrome radiator on a different wall. I want to mount this radiator 800mm approximately above the floor ie. the valves at the bottom of the rad will be 800mm...
