    push fit

    May be a silly question but.....do push fit radiator valves just push over the copper pipe ? Surely they need to be sealed somehow. I have put a valve on with an olive but just thought that a push fit valve sounded easier ? Thanks

    Plaster drying time

    I have had 2 plasterers look at my room that i want skimmed and one said to wait 2 days and one said to wait 5 days before I apply the water-paint coat. Anyone don it recently and have any comments. Thanks

    cornice

    I'm painting my living room at the moment and the bit between the walls and ceiling....I think u call it the cornice, could do with a paint job too. Do I just use emulsion as i would the ceiling ? Or do i need to use paint like I would do for my woodwork. Thanks Gary

    skirting boards

    I'm replacing my skirting boards around my downstairs. Some parts of the walls are concreate and some plaster board. Can I just use some type of no nail sor grip glue ? The ones I took off had really long nails in them. Thanks

    Replacing valve

    I have 3 radiators to remove due to decorating and re-plastering. I have taken 2 of them off but the third is giving problems. While turning off the valve, it broke !! the metal top snapped.....so i'll have to drain the system and take the rad off replace the valve wont I ?? I'll have a go...

    laminate

    Hi, I'm about to laminate my living room with new laminate thats about 12mm think. It will connect to old laminate in the hall thats only about 4mm. Are there connectors that would connect these two as they are so different ? Thanks
