May be a silly question but.....do push fit radiator valves just push over the copper pipe ?

Surely they need to be sealed somehow.

I have put a valve on with an olive but just thought that a push fit valve sounded easier ?

Thanks

Some people will know that I'm a big fan of plastic and pushfit when the circumstances are right, but I'm not keen on pushfit rad valves, because:

1. Pipes can be kicked and banged with the hoover, straining the O ring joint.
2. Radiators can be knocked and moved, relative to the hangers, straining the O ring joint.
3. They don't look as pretty as chrome compression 'nut-n-olive' joints.
