    Removing skirting boards?

For your information the room is 4 metres by 3.6 metres not including a bay window. I think there are 9 mitres due to a bay window, with no radiators or plugs in the way. The current boards are about 2 cm’s thick. The room is upstairs and furnished and we’ll decorate ourselves.

Where to get a gas meter box?

That seems to be the problem skyblue! I've only had a quick look but the box seems to also have a back to it so I cant see how it would be possible to replace it without removing the supply and the gas meter so its not really going to be possible which is a shame as the old one is a mess.

How hard to learn to plaster?

My address is [email protected] , thanks for that if you don't mind. Shame the college course wasn't good, its shocking you think a good 5 day course would give the same sort of practical as your course! My first few attempts were ok but I made such a mess mixing the plaster and I'm...

Where to get a gas meter box?

Thanks for the replies. It is similar to ones pictured Softus, getting doors could be very hard so I think new boxes will be required as long as they aren't silly money. I'll look at the box in detail later and see where I can go from there. Thanks.

    Internal plaster skim corners

Probably not for the inexperienced I don't even know how to roll plaster! I want to re-plaster my entire bedroom to get rid of the nasty artex but how would I plaster this small area above the door frame for example? http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/9896/dscf22467zm.jpg

I was wondering this too as I have quite a few strange shapes corners that the trowel wont go into in my loft conversion.

    Trowel Size?

I ended up buying the 13" x 5" This one: http://www.toolstation.com/search.html?searchstr=92070 The thing that worries me most about your post is the trowel I ordered is called a finishing trowel and I just thought I could use it for everything.

    Trowel Size?

My research has suggested that this is the trowel to go for, whether I could tell the difference between a B&Q £5 trowel I dont know? Its just the size that doesnt often get mentioned. That site also does a 13" x 5" if that might be better?
