Architeckt 1 1/2" Chrome Shower Waste with Removable Gr

Hi I bought one of these: http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/architeckt-1-12-chrome-433-17534 thinking it would be something like this, but metal: http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/domed-shower-waste-50mm-433-20575 Turns out, it is just the top bit of the waste and needs something to screw in...

    Drain out kit washine machine

hi, 3 questions: 1. just so I'm clear, before the trap being: a) so that the washing machine drains via the sink trap b) so that the washing machine bypasses the sink trap and drains directly 2. Are these actually any good? 3. Are they suitable for a dishwasher also? Thanks!

Thanks. Will try tonight when home. What's your theory?

Shower not draining with waste cover on

It's similar, but without the single hole in the top. Don't think it is a design fault as I bought one of those metal sink strainers today to temporarily put over the waste hole, and although not as bad, the water did not drain well either. It was like air needs to escape or be sucked...

Shower not draining with waste cover on

It is approx. a 3 metre run from shower to a 90 degree bend outside, then to stack, with bath connected to same waste. The fall is around 60 mm over the three metres. There is a section where the plumber had to take the waste under a CH pipe and used a couple of 45 degree bends with approx...

    concealed shower valve opening

hi i made an opening for the concealed shower valve to poke through the hardibacker substrate. Unfortunately, i couldn't just make holes for where the taps go, because the valve itself didn't give me enough depth, so i had to cut out a bigger section. the distance between the horizontal...

    wall around shower tray

the walls are not plasterboarded apart from the bit at the bottom where the plasterer repaired the area where the skirting was removed. If I remove the plasterboard and plaster properly then could I avoid using WP? This is just an academic question as I think I may as well water proof seeing...

    wall around shower tray

Thanks all for the comments, most appreciated :) Apologies in advance for the long post! On the advice of topps tiles, I'm going to apply this: http://www.homelux.co.uk/index.php?l=product_detail&p=113 to the wall on the left and the back wall. It was the plumber who did this...

    wall around shower tray

trying to work out what I need to do to the wall around the shower tray. had to remove some of the plaster to set the tray slightly into the wall, but seems the plasterer repaired the bottom of the wall where I had removed old skirting with plasterboard and then skimmed over. As I removed...

    shower trap for 25mm ply

I do appreciate the advice. Don't think insults are required though. diyer rather than cowboy  the fall is approx 12cm over a 3 metre run. If necessary, the waste can be rodded from the other end of the pipe outside. Any issues with that?

    mortar with anti crumbling additive

hi, sorry another question :) I need to mix up a stiff 5/1 sand cement mortar to fix a shower tray. I assume this means a fairly dry mix, i.e. not too runny? Also, what should I use for the anti crumbling additive? thanks :)

    shower trap for 25mm ply

true, but the same could be said of any plumbing, cables etc. under a tiled floor. You have to draw the line somewhere.
