Is there anyway of stopping the nails on these from stopping rusting?

Is it water regs that a new outside tap installation needs an internal DCV? No one built in to the tap?

Can tubed adeshive be used if you have primed with SBR bond? Does tubed addy relie on mositure being absorbed by the substrate?

Can I ask why you needed to nip up with grips in some instances?

Is hand tight enough for the nut on a polypipe fitting or is a tweak with a pair of grips warranted?

I'm correct in saying you can't sold encase pushfit fittings as they need to expand for the gran ring to bite in?

Are polymax fittings ok on polypipe? Are the liners the same?

If that was the case surely they should say not to use copper and poly together on a tee section. Was done to save fittings on the pipe leaving to the rad. It's 15mm copper bent straight up to the rad. Valve. As appose to 15mm poly, poly elbow and copper to rad valve.

That's what poly specific on there technical instructions.

I.e not tightened the fitting?

So it could be the use of copper that was the issue. Have used copper before with poly with no problems.

The fitting is touching the joist could the heating and cooling over time or caused the fitting to unscrew?

So was likely it came out of the factory like that? Did they check to see if had been tested to 18bar. Apparently they can tell by how far the grab ring has bit in to the pipe.

It wasn't tested to 18 bar I know poly say to do this I do on new builds but on domestic central heating install It hasnt been.

Thanks I'm hoping for a nail. Have had that before where the nail has held pressure then rusted and started to leak.

Just standard grey poly and tube.
