richard luckily it isnt in the main kitchen dining area but part of the l shaped return leg of the kitchen 2metres x 1.5metres approx..the ridge is on the edge of where you walk into the kitchen/dining area (6x3 approx) that seperates the 2 areas so to speak,the slope is gradual over the 2...

am just starting to levell my kitchen floor using wickes deep base slc as i have dips of up to 15mm in the worst place etc i have done all prep work on the floor scraping all loose debris,filled holes cracks with mortar repair,vaccumed up all dust,cleaned floor with detergent & finally priming...

just done the bonded screed today following mcmillins instructions/advice...went very well used a batten fixed to the floor levelled off, to use as a guide for the timber to levell off with... :) wet the floor & brushed in applied the grout cement slurry inc sbr mixed the sharp sand & cement...

yes steve the sub floor has an existing dpm..but the sections of floor taken up have lost the dpm so im just trying to ascertain the correct method of restoring this ? i will upload some pics asap showing close up of the existing dpm on the edges of the sections of floor taken up etc does this...

yeah cheers i will check with wickes... another point is will bitumen paint suffice to restore the damp proof or ive seen at screwfix you can get dpm sheets in different widths etc...am i better off laying some of this instead before i do the slc + do i need to get a spiked roller to use on the...

richard theres a few more metres tiling into 2 cupboards but maybe not 26 sq metres ive allowed for wastage + tiles to leave in loft for the future in case of replacements etc the 4 bags are just for the 2 metre section i will get a load more bags to do the rest :) i can take any surplus back...
