HYUNDAI Getz CRTD CDX+ How do I change the Fuel filter?

unfortunatly the sleeve covers the whole of the canister so can't grab hold of it with out removing sleeve which I can't see how to do. Since it's part of a standard service would have thought that it should be relativly simple.

HYUNDAI Getz CRTD CDX+ How do I change the Fuel filter?

Thanks for the reply. There's no screw/bolt at the top. The rover used to be one of those types and was an easy but messy job to change. The black sleeve seems to be just that and you can see a silver/grey canister under it. There's a gap of a few mm between the sleeve and the canister...

HYUNDAI Getz CRTD CDX+ How do I change the Fuel filter?

Got a 2007 HYUNDAI Getz CRTD CDX+, a 1.5l turbo diesel, and want to give it a service for the winter. Oil filter and air filter look straight forward but can’t for the life of me see how to change the fuel filter. The filter assembly is bolted to the bulkhead and seems to be rather...

    Patio - Pointing

Have just re-layed my patio using a mix of the old and new slabs. Some hexaginal and some square. To save on the joining which caused a bit of a mess last time, textured finish on slabs, I have attempted to butt join them this time. Gaps between slabs varys from between 0 and 3mm. Was going...

How best to change the oil filter ??

Thanks. Did it yesterday with no problem. With the old canister type they were always full of oil but with these it all runs back to the sump. So is much cleaner than the old way. With the right socket much easier than the old canister type so would have thought it was better for the DIYer :)

    Excessive Oil Consumption ??

Sort of found the problem I think. Did an oil change. Filled it up and checked the oil level. It was about half way between the marks. Ran the engine for a min. Checked oil again and was well below the low level. Waited checked, waited checked did that for about 30mins and still too low...

    Excessive Oil Consumption ??

So it would smoke then. Used to have a Nissan Micra that used a similar amount of oil and that DID smoke. So since this does not seem to where could the oil be going?

    Excessive Oil Consumption ??

Thanks for the replies nah not leaking did check that first. It's a turbo diesel so not sure if it would smoke as the oil may be burning as fuel. Read somewhere that with turbo cars oil can leak past the turbo but it didn't explain what the symptoms of that would be. One other thing...

How best to change the oil filter ??

Thanks for the link. unfortunatly it seems to be an american forum (not that I've got that much against Americans :D), also seems rather dead as do most of the Hyundai forums I've found. Expect most are too embarrassed to admit they own a Hyundai :D

How best to change the oil filter ??

How best to change the oil filter ??

Going to give the car it’s first oil change, 1000miles. It’s got one of those new fangled oil filters rather than the old canister type. First time I’ve tried changing one of them. Since it’s mounted above some other engine bits and bobs I can only imagine that when I try to take the...

    Excessive Oil Consumption ??

Recently brought a Hyundai Getz CDX CRTD, less than a year old with only 700 miles on the clock. Unfortunately it is a repaired Cat D so is not covered by the Hyundai warrantee. Driven it very sedately for about 300miles, yet only getting 45mpg :( Checked the oil level today and noticed...

    Downstairs Cloakroom electrics

Just read a couple of threads re Part-P and am now very confused. Going to re decorate my downstairs cloakroom which currently has a loo, wash basin, light switch inside the room and a light fitting on a lead hanging from the ceiling. Going to move the washbasin, replace the ceiling and...

    Mod activity

Seem to be seeing a lot of complaints about Mod activity of late. Although I feel that is wrong but because of their apparent actions I can fully understand it. I am a SuperMod on a completely different type of forum, one that has the potential to be much more volatile than this one. However...

    Cloakroom sink waste routing.

Thanks for the replies. Not sure what the part no:12718 is as there's no picture. But while googling for it found this http://www.polypipe.com/polypipe/controller?action=SS-MDProductDetails&productid=22116&categoryID=6529 Is it the same thing? It seems will do the job nicely providing...

    Cloakroom sink waste routing.

Trying to put a sink into a downstairs cloakroom which currently only has a toilet. Have access to both hot and cold water but no “standard” method of getting rid of the waste water. Two possible methods I have thought of are 1) The toilet is soil outlet goes into the floor level soil...

    Plasma or LCD tv

Plasma / LCD lots of factors to consider when choosing the best for your needs. Don't be swayed by what you see in the shops as they will be HD feeds and most normal transmissions are SD. A very good forum for advise and information is http://www.avforums.com/forums/index.php but always...
