    Insulation on blockwork wall

I have a garage with a single skin block wall between it and the kitchen. Obv no insulation in the wall so was thinking of installing celotex or rock wool onto the garage side and then battering between and covering with ply or OSB so I can hang stuff without drilling thru the insulation. So...

How to fix bracket to wall without drilling through cables

Depending on the size of your bracket if i was in that situation I'd offer the bracket up and mark all fixing points. I'd then carefully cut a hole/holes in the plasterboard away from the fixing points but in a position where they would be covered by the bracket so you can inspect behind.
