Loud noise, no CH anymore, DM5601 or MK1453 or EP200 faulty?

Thanks Mark, would you know if there is a substitute for the Sunvic DM5601 Actuator? The part itself is quite expensive... It might be more cost effective to replace both the MK1453 and DM5601 at once using may be the SDMV 2304? Just concerned about the wiring though.

Loud noise, no CH anymore, DM5601 or MK1453 or EP200 faulty?

Hi there, I have a gravity fed system, the boiler is a Baxi Bermuda Back Boiler 552 an the cylinder is a coil type double feed indirect (Dublotank 100). Today my CH started normally and after an hour I heard a loud noise. At first I did not really pay any attention, but then I noticed that...

Possible to upgrade a 2 taps sink to a Twin Deck Mixer Tap?

Having the tap on one side of sink might look a bit odd though... Look at what I just found, an Adjustable Bridge Mixer Deck Mounted Kitchen Mixer Tap: More details from: http://www.qssupplies.co.uk/bathroom-furniture-shower-taps/58979.htm

Possible to upgrade a 2 taps sink to a Twin Deck Mixer Tap?

Hi Dan, Unfortunately I cannot replace the sink, it would look to odd compare to the rest of the suite. Hi wrathkeg, Thanks for the feedback, though I do not really fancy the design I wonder how you managed to find this mixer tap with the connection centres 200mm wide apart? I am...

    150x150x5mm or 150x150x6mm?

I need to tile the bottom of a wall in my bathroom, hence the purchase of new tiles is required. The tiles currently at the top of the wall are 15x15cm, however I am having trouble measuring their thickness. Those are either 5 or 6 mm thick. My question: do 15x15cm wall tiles usually come as...

Fernox DS40 through HW cylinder coil safe?

I am about to use some Fernox DS40 to get rid of corrosion/magnetite sludge in my CH system (due to excessive hydrogen being produced). I have a gravity fed system, the boiler is a Baxi Bermuda Back Boiler 552 an the cylinder is a coil type double feed indirect (Dublotank 100). With this kind...

    Removing corrosion/magnetite sludge: Sentinel X400 or x800?

Thanks David / Chris. Are you are saying that if I have a 3 port valve, I should net let any of the DS40 go through the HW cylinder coil? But then how the product would circulate through the complete system?

    Removing corrosion/magnetite sludge: Sentinel X400 or x800?

Hi David, My boiler is a Baxi Back Boiler 552, I think it is made of cast iron with no aluminum in it. Is my assumption correct? Thanks, Ant

    Removing corrosion/magnetite sludge: Sentinel X400 or x800?

Thanks again for the valuable advise Tony, would never have thought it would have been safe to taste. I shall receive the DS40 tomorrow to be ready to do the work at the weekend.
