    Honeywell T6060 Replacement?

Our Honeywell T6060 is looking ancient and out of place, what could I replace it with? It doesn't have to be clever, just functional and more up to date. Just taken the lid off and there are 4 wires in there: Blue - Connected Yellow - Connected Red- Unconnected Earth - Unconnected

Modern Radiators are they more efficient...

Somewhere at the back of my mind I was thinking along these lines and is one of the reasons I asked the question. Thanks.

Modern Radiators are they more efficient...

... than their older counterparts? I'm just replacing the kitchen in a house we moved in to this year (now sick of living in a mess!) and one job leads to another. Looking at the kitchen diner now and the only thing which won't have been replaced is the dining room radiator. it is a double 4'...

    Filling Rawl Plug Holes?

I've done this today, thanks. Thanks for the reply. That's my concern that I'll be placing just about where the old holes were old rawl plugs remove and now filled with mortar). I've realised that the cabinets were lower than recommended so hopefully the new fixings should be OK fingers...

    Thoughts on chimney hood extractor

I've found a wide chimney extractor which will definitely let me get 125mm ducting in. What size core drill should I be looking at? Many thanks Simon

    Thoughts on chimney hood extractor

No I'm to far down the rabbit hole, the kitchen is being made as we speak. Reducing would only reduce the efficiency I'm guessing? Conversely I'd use a pipe rather than flexible hose to help keep the negative effect to a minimum.

    Thoughts on chimney hood extractor

Hi I'm in the middle of replacing my kitchen. The previous owners had an extractor which didn't extract to the outside, just used charcoal filters. The reason they didn't vent outside appears to be because a joist is right in the middle of the chimney. As I have the ceiling down I'm wondering...

    Filling Rawl Plug Holes?

I'm just starting ripping out my kitchen and have removed the hob extractor fan which hides multiple previously drilled holes where rawl plugs have been in an of course the holes which were holding up the extractor. The internal wall is concrete block (not thermolite), what do you recommend to...

To Replace the Roof or Not!?

We have recently bought a house which is 40 years old and whilst the house is in good order it is in need of updating. I considering all aspects of updating starting from the top down:-) I'm under the impression that although concrete roof tiles are good for around 40 to 60 the underlay is more...

    Downstair Flooring and Likely Asbestos

Hi We've just bought a new house and are mentally preparing to do a few jobs starting with kitchen and bathroom. The house was built in 1981. Just looking behind the kitchen unit plinth and I can see that there are two layers of ceramic floor files. When I look in the cupboard under the...

    Small Repairs To Bebbledash

I'm looking at buying a bungalow which has been refurbished. It is pebbledashed and to me although it has been on probably 50 years it looks in great condition though there are a few areas of damage which have probably been done when being refurbished. Unfortunately it is 125 miles away and I...

    Bathroom Fittings

Yes wise words! A new build we had 20 odd years ago we had to have a shower tray replaced twice by the builder because they split. It was a real pain and never quite looked right afterwards.
