    Window top board gap

Top left corner. Behind the sort of top trim board They say the windows are in and units sealed, i.e. No drafts. They say old plaster work has crumbled and someone else's job to fix it They have now mastic'd the sh1t outta the holes

    Garage ceiling boards

There's a little balcony that is felted, so maybe that has a leak. I don't fancy overboarding the whole garage so maybe I find the beams and cut the current boards out

    Garage ceiling boards

I've just moved into a new house and found this (see pics) I'm guessing damp damaged boards. What's the best thing to do to renew them at minimal cost? And I am right to think that those bits of wood are NOT holding the building up (garage has a room above it) Cheers

    Lighting a shed

It's a pent roof. The side I can use is the lower one, but not by much. I can do it and pick eye height, but I thought might be some skill to it or way of working out best positioning. It's a mini gym and storage

    Lighting a shed

I have a 4m X 3m shed. The light is 5ft, 58w fluro with a diffuser. It is mounted long ways, but I keep hitting my head on it (I'm 6ft 6) So, I'm thinking about moving it to a long wall instead. Anyone have a rough idea of how high would give me the best lighting... And if it's going to be...

Tidy SWA (appears to be a duplicate thread)

6mm 3 core SWA, it's a long underground external building run Conduit is to hide the SWA and for a bit of extra protection and to make it very obvious.

Tidy SWA (appears to be a duplicate thread)

Running 6mm SWA outside. It's going from an adaptable box. It's also going into conduit for a short run. The SWA needs a 25mm gland on it I think at the adaptable box. But the conduit also looks like it has a 25mm gland... Do I have to just push the conduit up on the gland so it's as...

    Trunking suggestion?

I currently have a single earth wire running in trunking between consumer unit under the stairs and my kitchen. I'm running a new 6mm T&E along the same route and obviously need to replace the trunking. About 5m Any suggestions on the size and type of trunking?

The CE mark, is it still required?

I'm not sure how leaving democratically serves the 48% who voted to remain. Or leaving the EEA democratically serves the % of Leavers who say this isn't about immigration (which isn't true IMHO). I do know that a bunch of unelected bureaucrats are now going to decide what the deal is (that is...
