Hi Does anyone know how to fix a stiff pull up\down shower diverter. Is there a grip you can buy to put on it to help grip it as it is chrome and has become very stiff to pull up and down please. Thanks for any advise. Phil.

its the existing one it is rubber and is clean should i keep tightening or undo and try some fairy liquid on washer

just replaced valve but it is leaking from flexihose nut where it screws onto brass shank of bottom fill fluidmaster 400uk valve should i of used a sealant tried tightening but not stopping and not cross threaded as put on carefully please help thanks
