push\pull shower collar diverter on bath mixer tap assembly become very stiff

Hi
Please advise what I could do to free up the push\pull collar diverter which is part of the bath tap mixer assembly.
Used to move up and down very easily but now has become very stiff ?
Would I have to completely replace the mixer tap assembly

you may be able to take apart and clean and lubricate . there are various types of diverters ,can you post pic of yours ?

that's a plumbsure Quartz model ( B &Q job around 50 quid new ). have fitted a few ,but never tried to disassemble . if you unscrew the nut on the flexi hose ,where it meets the diverter , and remove the hose , it may reveal how to take it apart ,or of it is caked in limescale. take another pic , " birds eye view from top "
