if a consumer unit is being replaced,and the tails and main earth uprated. do the earths to the gas and water have to be upgraded,or can they be left as they already are i:e 4mm (or is it 6mm?) or if there are no earths on water and gas,are they ok if certain continuity readings are met.

thanks steve,do you mean just to the new shower cu or to the original as well, or 25mm from meter to henley,then split 25mm to new shower and leave the original tails to original cu. the original cu is the old wylex rewireable push in fuses,would this take 25mm?

what size meter tails need to be used for a separate shower cu,it will have 10mm cable to the shower. can they be 10mm or do they have to be the same size as the original tails,or do all the tails have to be uprated to 25mm. thanks
