Thanks for the wisdom that a heat detector detects heat :lol: I will put a smoke detector in instead in dining area. Just thought building regs required heat detector in kitchen.

Thanks for replies so far Breezer. I'm getting a bit confused now. So your saying to put a smoke alarm where i stated. Do you think that will work better(less false alarms)

i've got a kitchen/dining room in one. Is it best to locate this in dining area which is 6m away from hob to stop nuisance alarms.

Hi, what are the regs for heat alarm in the kitchen regarding location? Linking with smoke alarms, one in hall and two in landing. Smoke alarms are located so they are less than 7.5m from any bedroom.

Thanks for reply Andy. Now seen some unvented cylinders with two 3kw heaters,some with one.So can supply this of ring :oops: Sorry for lack of info. I just thought induction hobs(4 rings) would have a max rating as unsure which model at this stage.Never mind i'll run 10mm for this...

Has anyone installed above. Need to know output of above and what cabling needed. Also induction hobs, what cable size is required for these? I know i will be safe with 10mm, but will i be able to get away with 6mm. Cable run is 20m. Also cooker switch is mounted 1150mm from finished floor...

Plumbers coming to house end of week for 1st fix.(hopefully!) Do they need to know exactly where everything is going? Not chosen bathroom suites yet. Because different baths etc waste in different places. These bathrooms are all upstaires which at the moment is just bare joists

What are requirements when installing fan in a bathroom? Minimum height? Triple pole fan isolator, can this be mounted inside bathroom(if it can what are regs requirement) or does it have to be outside. Also, do you need to supply it off a fused spur or do fans come with own internal...
