    Worcester 28i Junior Heating Controls

Great news! So I can crack on then with no regs being contravened?! I thought that was the case with the age of the boiler. With only "newer" boilers having the "room sealed" outer casings.

    Worcester 28i Junior Heating Controls

Hi, would any of you know if it is possible to wire a receiver onto this combi boiler (Worcester 28i Junior) without contravening any gas safe regulations. My intention is to replace an old wired Honeywell dial thermostat with something more up to date. I have in mind a T4R or T6R. If it...

Hive to Tado Stat Wiring to Benefit from Glow-worm Energy 15r Modulation

Yes, my understanding is that ebus allows a more granular control of a boilers output. I'm trying to get my head around how or if I can make this work with the set up I've described.

Hive to Tado Stat Wiring to Benefit from Glow-worm Energy 15r Modulation

Tado install to use boiler modulation feature as opposed to on/off switching. A couple of questions for any Tado experts/users please! I'd like to replace my heating and hot water S-plan (radiators and hot water tank) control from the current 2-chanel Hive receiver and wireless thermostat so...

    A couple of Hive questions…..

I recently self installed a dual channel hive to control my heating and hot water. The controller I replaced is the same as yours. Yes the wires from the ST9400C just transfer to the corresponding terminals on the hive receiver. My thermostat had just the 2 wires also. For me it was...

    Smart Meters.....Again

What's wrong with having smart meters? I've had them since 2016 (Smets1) they've been smart, dumb and now smart again having changed supplier each year. My bills have remained constant. Since having them I certainly don't miss being out in the cold and wet to read them.

Wiring guidance Honeywell ST9400C and DT90E to Dual Channel Hive

Looking at the photos I've provided would you agree that it will be pretty straight forward? Isolate power, remove front cover and back plate from the ST9400C, transfer the wires from the back plate to the corresponding terminals on the Hive back plate N..L..3..4 Remove thermostat and...

    Old Hive, new combi.

@DazzaGains Did you have to get the pcb replaced or did the fuse protect it from any damage?

    Smart meters (again...)

Why not have the smart meters installed and then just treat them as you currently do your non smart meters...?

Monobloc tap tails 10mm too short! How best to fill the gap?

Many thanks. Went with your 1st suggestion as the 10mm gap that needed bridging was wishful thinking on my part! 130mm added to the existing pipework.

Monobloc tap tails 10mm too short! How best to fill the gap?

The tails I bought yesterday are JG and have pushfit onto the 15mm. The tails supplied with the tap has 1/2 nut onto the 15mm

Monobloc tap tails 10mm too short! How best to fill the gap?

Tomorrow I plan on installing a new monoblock mixer kitchen tap to replace the very old and leaking one. In preparation, today I purchased a pair of JG Speedfit tails 15mm x 300mm (as the current tap connection is via speedfit). With the tails in the tap body, when I rest the tap on the edge...
