Hi,

would any of you know if it is possible to wire a receiver onto this combi boiler (Worcester 28i Junior) without contravening any gas safe regulations.

My intention is to replace an old wired Honeywell dial thermostat with something more up to date. I have in mind a T4R or T6R. If it is not possible to do then I'll probably go with a wired T4 for now.

My 2nd thought is that if it is not possible then I have the annual boiler service due soon so could wire the receiver in just before the engineer arrives and they would then obviously be able to make the required gas checks on completion of their work.

Is this sensible plan or inherently flawed?

Thanks

Great news! So I can crack on then with no regs being contravened?!

I thought that was the case with the age of the boiler.

With only "newer" boilers having the "room sealed" outer casings.
