    should have said its a combi boiler and I live in Glasgow which i think is a "softish" water area. after finding the FAQ's :) seems like this is a case of "ketteling" but with the addition of the leek does this suggest the heat exchanger is also damaged?

    found the info i need, chock block and stick on a blanking plate, easy crafty: the new bath thats going in is a free standing roll top so i cant see wet arms hanging over the sides of the bath dripping water + a live socket being a good thing... better ti be safe than dead and all that :)

    look what i found when i removed the old bath from my bathroom, copper pipes in the foreground are the baths hot and cold feed. The horizontal marking above the socket is where the top of the bath used to be. Surely that's not the smartest thing to do! :shock: So my question is...

    hey, i have these (see pics) Danfoss TRV's, i cant see the model number anywhere. I want to remove the radiator but how do i know if the TRV is fully closed. Is turning the value to 0 enough for these types of TRV's or do i need the decorators cap etc. tia e
