    Another Garage Question !!!

Yes, that is correct. Or for arguments sake, could be made into two single buildings, if that helps with the planning rules.

    New Boiler install

Thanks for all the info guys. Dan. I asked if it was made in Britain, not as a "good" point mate !!! British engineering doesn't exactly fill me with confidence, I have to be honest !!! And I am an engineer !!! I would prefer German engineering. I guess Worcester Bosch are German ...

    New Boiler install

Thanks mate, it's going to be inside a prebuilt kitchen cupboard (600 mm x 550 mm), so it would need to go in that ! Never heard of "Atag", but that doesn't mean anything TBH !! Thanks again, I will look into it.

    New Boiler install

Just had a local gas fitter round to quote for some work. I am not up to speed with boilers. He is offering to fit a "Ideal 35kW Condensing Boiler", I'm not too fussed about the cost, I think the price he has given seems a fair one to me. But I am more concerned that he is insisting this is...

Worcester Bosch 35CDi Hot water running H then C intermitten

OK, from lots of reading on here and other sites. It sounds like this might be a heat exchanger scaled up ?? Does anyone agree ? I am in a soft water area. Would that be a sensible place to start and is it something I can fix myself ?

Worcester Bosch 35CDi Hot water running H then C intermitten

Hi, Hopefully this is a simple one to diagnose for you boiler engineers. When I run the hot water, the boiler fires up as normal and the water runs hot initially. But after about 30seconds the boiler stops (as in the flames go out!) in the chamber. The tap then slowly gets colder and...

    Leaking basin waste.

Yeh, I think so anyway !!! Tapered end facing into the fitting. I think it's just a badly fitting joint, gonna pick up another one today from Plumbcentre and try that one.

    Leaking basin waste.

Fitted a pedastal sink and pedastal trap, but the damn thing is leaking badly. Not the usual top bit at the sink (I have sealed that well), but the compression fitting at the bottom of the trap. I don't think I have done anything silly, so do you think it is just a poor quality fitment ...

    Anyone got blocked drains knowledge?

Hi again Chuckles, Is the blockage on your property ? I would hire/loan some drainage rods, get a rough idea where the blockage is and providing I never had to go through anything too destructive, get out a shovel and dig down to the pipe to investigate. Is this a realistic solution or...
