    Shower waste problem

yes, the trap seems to want a pipe larger than 40mm. if i put the end of the flexi into it it will not tighten onto it. if i put 42mm pipe into it, it tightens nicely. i may very well try to get some solvent fittings and re-do the pipe. i'm just exploring different avenues.

    Shower waste problem

yes, except mine has two ends the same (the smooth end, not the screw type end) If it was 42mm, one end would fit nicely into the trap and the other end could go into a 42mm coupler. thanks

    Shower waste problem

I've replaced my shower tray in my ensuite and although i used the same size tray, the waste pipe doesn't marry up to the new trap. The original waste pipe is 42mm pipe with glued joints and as such, I cannot move it over to point at the new trap. I ordered a flexible waste pipe to solve...

    Shower door question

I have a shower cubical which is freshly plastered ready for tiling and shower door installation. however, somewhere down the line of my renovation the cubical has become slightly narrower than i had originally thought meaning the shower door which I've bought only just fits the gap. If was...

    My Shower - Progress

The water pipes also run in this polystyrene layer which i guess helps. the sound insulation in my house is very good, which could be down to the polystyrene.

    My Shower - Progress

Hi, thought I'd share my progress with you. I'm a complete novice, never done anything like this before so go easy if you see I've made mistakes. I wanted to do as much of the work myself as I could mainly because I enjoy stuff like that but also to learn. I've been blogging my progress for...

    Knauf Wallboard - suitable?

After more measuring i think its best to go with a tray with no upstand. Ill tank the entire corner including floor with bal wp1 then a 760 shower tray will just drop into place. does this sound like a good idea? i think it'#ll be much simpler/neater than trying to squeeze a 770mm tray...

    Knauf Wallboard - suitable?

'needs' to be? shower tray i removed was a 770mm square tray with 4 upstands. 770mm is the exact gap between the two walls. it will be difficult to sink into walls. any suggestions? edit: after reading some more online it seems you're right, it really needs to be flush fitted. my...

    Knauf Wallboard - suitable?

Hello there, I'm in the process of re-doing a shower in my en suite after a rather nasty leak. I'm replacing some stud work and plasterboard. I originally wanted to go with Knauf Aquapanel and then tank with Bal tanking kit, but Travis Perkins didn't have any Aquapanel in when i went, and in...
